Privacy Policy

This policy describes how 57 Monkeys LLC (a California limited liability company, hereinafter “the Clan”) handles information. It is the Clan’s org-wide default: it applies to this website and to 57 Monkeys’ services and software, until a specific product publishes its own privacy policy — at which point that policy takes over for that product.

Article I — What gets collected

On 57monkeys.com: approximately nothing. It is a static website with no accounts, no tracking pixels, no cookie banners begging for consent, and no monkeys hiding in browser storage. Services and software may need to handle more — running software tends to involve data — and anything that does will say so in its own policy before collecting a single byte.

Article II — What happens with email

Email sent to hello@57monkeys.com arrives at the Clan. This is generally regarded as how email works. Addresses are used to reply, and for no other banana-related purposes — never sold, rented, leased, or bartered, not even for a really good banana.

Article III — Third parties

The site is served by a hosting provider (currently Cloudflare), which may process standard server logs (IP addresses, request metadata) to deliver the site and keep the jungle secure. No analytics are currently in use.

Article IV — Changes

When a real, lawyer-reviewed policy replaces this one, this page will be updated and the placeholder notice will vanish like a banana at a clan meeting. Products that publish their own policies will link to them from their own pages.
